Process change for bringing your organization back to ‘normal’…. keep it there .... and provide confidence to your employees and investors

We hear the new normal being called the new abnormal. How can we adapt to what is happening while preparing what will be, and not have to change again when that future arrives? One way is to experiment with new ways to manage your work through agile systems. Agile systems are integral to technology, operating procedures, and project management. Leadership teams and management can reshape how, when and what they do to better balance standardizing operations while pursuing innovative opportunities. We know that organizational culture is often a barrier to scaling agile, the otherwise smaller and incremental improvements versus the one big solution. Fortunately, most leaders aren’t fighting agile. But they do wrestle with finding time and utilizing the experience within their teams to understand how it applies to their roles. Outside help with its range of expertise is a good resource to move towards an agile philosophy.

Complementing agile thinking is to identify old, and dated, policies that have not changed or evolved, and give them a good, objective look. Despite mandatory training sessions, for example, some methods and processes aren’t working. Has your policy on diversity and inclusion actually changed anything, or has it collected dust and has a negative impact on your credibility. Propose a new approach such as a system of training, peer reviews and help from external sources.

Now is the time to think creatively and take bold steps.
